Manzana 1 shares its expansion with its sponsors and thanks them
Manzana 1 Espacio de Arte brought together representatives of the companies, institutions and individuals that sponsor the art gallery; among them, TotalEnergies. The purpose was to present the gallery´s second floor, refurbished and in operation with the exhibition Soy Tu Historia on archeology of the department of Santa Cruz.
The meeting was attended by annual sponsors, such as our company. The volunteer director of Manzana 1, Ejti Stih, thanked all for their trust and strong moral and economic support, while showing in a sequence of images the transformation of that part of the building.
Under the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility, all the sponsors support the cultural cause of Manzana 1 Espacio de Arte, which, independently and without profit, will sustain this 2023, with its expansion, an annual agenda of 17 exhibitions for the benefit of the public, always free of charge.
The meeting of sponsors, in which TotalEnergies participated, also took place in the framework of a collective exhibition of paintings and sculptures, on the first floor; and of the exhibition MOMENTS by photographer Carlos Sánchez Navas, at the Arte en la Plaza venue, enabled since 2018. Four exhibitions are held there every year.
The first activity hosted on the second floor was the Manzana 1 International Photo Festival in November 2022, which brought together six World Press Photo award winning photographers and the editors of National Geographic, Leica Germany and Geo France. This event had a program of workshops, conferences and portfolio review in which a hundred Bolivian photographers interacted with international guests and left an exhibition of photo reports. This exhibition surpassed 50,000 visits counted with the public's camera recorder.
Manzana 1 Espacio de Arte was born in 2005 occupying only the first floor. It has a monthly average of 17,000 visits counted with a camera recorder. It is open from Monday to Sunday and holidays, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
